LifeVision Leader’s Guide
The Leader's Guide is designed for experienced facilitators
and professional career development counselors, coaches and
therapists. It contains all of the information you need to
successfully lead individuals or groups through the LifeVision
Program. This includes acquainting you to using maps as a
reflection and exploration vehicle, the hallmark of the LifeVision
Program. The Maps are a virtual playground, where the intellect,
heart and body can explore and discover together.
The Leader's Guide is user friendly and smartly designed for
the human development professional. It contains five modules.
Each begins with a thorough overview of the module, benefits
for participants, and suggestions for best applications. Particular
attention is paid throughout the Leader's Guide to preparing
the facilitator to help participants process their insights,
feelings and reactions during the course.
The modules can be used as stand alone exercises to complement
current curriculum or in whole as the LifeVision program.
The five modules are:

- My
Historical Landscape
The purpose of this module is to reflect on the past and
harvest personal insights for the future. It is a reflective
tool for participants to glean a deeper understanding
and fresh perspective about the people, places, events
and choices that have influenced their life. The insights
gained from building this map serve as powerful context
for future planning and visioning work.
- My
Purpose Framework
The purpose of this module is to discover and/or reconnect
with that which is most important in one’s life
today. The purpose framework module links skills, interests,
values and personal treasures into an integrated framework
to support and serve as a compass for future action. The
insights gained creating the map serve as powerful context
for future planning and visioning work.
- Growing
My Hopes and Dreams
The purpose of this module is to create new possibilities
for the future through exploring one’s hopes and
dreams for the future. The Hopes and Dreams Module is
a visioning tool for exploring and recording personal
aspirations in primary areas of life including: family;
career; primary relationships; house, home and personal
finance; personal growth and spiritual and intellectual
pursuits. Creating this map encourages the participant
to expand their view of what is possible in their future.
- My
Vision
The purpose of this module is to create a compelling personal
vision of the future. The My Vision Map links personal
vision themes in major life categories to concrete goals
and strategies, personal values and support systems to
create a detailed picture of the life one wants to live
and how to get there. Participants build personal conviction
about their future as a result of creating this map. This
conviction serves as a catalyst to shift from living in
possibility to having specific intention about their future.
- Go
Get It
The purpose of this module is to commit to a personal
goal, plan the action steps to achieve it and build motivation
to implement it. This module is a project planning tool
guiding participants to define the action steps, required
resources and support structure necessary to make their
goal a reality. Creating this map encourages the participant
to focus and take action to achieve their goals.
In addition to detailed step by step instructions for leading
the workshops, the guide is peppered with motivational and
inspirational quotes and stories, thoughtful notes and tips
for the leader, all designed to help the practitioner lead
a successful workshop or inspire their clients in one-on-one
sessions. Each Guide contains a comprehensive review of the
five LifeVision Maps and a Case Study Map that exhibits an
actual real life example.
