Our Founder
Shelly Anderson's ability to create and balance honest relationships
precedes her roles as a successful corporate executive, entrepreneur,
and consultant. Generosity of spirit has been crucial to her
professional success and especially in her current venture--Envision,
where many worlds come together.
She has built a successful career working with individuals
on career choices and leadership teams on organizational start-up
and design, restructuring, strategy development and key initiative
planning and execution. She has more than 15 years of experience
working with corporations of varying sizes and industries
in the areas of human resources program design and development,
recruitment, training and employee relations.
As a consultant with an executive search firm in the 80's,
she helped build executive teams for many Silicon Valley start-ups.
At Charles Schwab in the 90's, she led the growth of the company's
workforce from 6000 to over 20,000 employees as Vice President,
Worldwide Staffing. This included designing and building recruitment
and development programs for new college and business school
graduates as well as professionals making career directional
changes.
She has personally counseled professionals at all levels through
major career junctures such as joining or leaving organizations,
choosing new positions or assignments, establishing successful
relationships with new leadership teams and designing customized
development plans for high potential professionals. This exposure
has helped her identify some key decision points for making
good career and life decisions.
Shelly has extensive experience facilitating group planning
and visioning processes fostering teamwork, trust, commitment
and accountability. She utilizes The Grove's visual Strategic
Visioning process as well as her own visual graphics
and a variety of assessment tools to increase collaboration,
enhance team dynamics and build strong relationships. Through
this work, she has pioneered several group processes for strategy
planning and project implementation.
Her professional training experience includes leading sessions
on a variety of subjects including developing leadership skills,
behavioral interviewing, consulting skills and a broad spectrum
of career development topics.
She is a frequent presenter at industry conferences, business
meetings and educational venues.
Shelly's educational background includes a B.A. in Philosophy
from Colorado College and continued studies in organizational
development and psychology as well as training in a variety
of assessment instruments including the MBTI. She has been
active in a number of professional associations over the years
including the Society for Human Resources Management (NCHRA
Chapter) and the National Association of Colleges and Employers.
She is also a Registered Representative (Series 7).
Her key passions in life include human development, big open
spaces, colorful gardens and beautiful architecture. She lives
in Sonoma County, CA with her husband and daughter.
